pop art canvas
This project consisted on painting a pop art imagine into a canvas. To figure out how many tones of color I needed I selected the shades in the original picture, the ones that were alike would be of the same colors, some were darker and some lighter. The goal of the project was that after learning about pop art and knowing how is it done, to accomplish a pop art painting using the proper colors. The materials needed were a canvas and acrilics, one color: orange and white to tone the shades in the painting, also some brushes of different sizes, larger ones to paint a bigger area and smaller brushes for details.
This project was ery interesting because in class i learned about pop art and then painted, so I had a back up on the history of pop art and it's artists, once you hear from an artist's opinion art changes for you. This is why while I painted this canvas I pictured all the famous pop artists doing the same and thinking they were very original people with other point of views. It was a challenging project, mainly because I picked a very detailed picture, it requiered a lot of patience. The choosing of the color was hard too, because I had to make sure that lighter colors would work with the paiting appropiately, so what i decided to do was to pick a dark color and each time a new shadow comes up I added a little white. Once I knew how I could make the painting easier I had fun, it is my first painting and I really enjoyed working on it, it was very relaxing and fun.

"Dreams are illustrations the book of your soul is writing"
This drawing is just a simple sketch one night I started drawing and then I started to focus on the details. I started to draw not thinking in anything but then I realized the goal or purpose of this sketch was to comunicate the quote above. I used simple pencils a 2B and an H, an eraser and a shader to work on shading details. What was interesting about this sketch was that it started as a simple drawing but ended to be a very important piece of art of myself which I'm proud of.
As I said this is a very important drawing for me. It was actually from a picture in a magazine, I started to sketch the image when suddenly it was no longer the woman in the picture, it was someone I created that was going to help me comunicate what we really do ehen we sleep as we dream. This drawing let me thinking that dreams are very important and that just by seeing someone sleep its like seeing peace. Peace is present as we sleep because we are dreaming, our soul is speaking to us. It is facinating how can art can link with anything and make you wonder, it was the first time I'd experience that, now I do it all the time but with this drawing it started. I call her "Paz" and she is dreaming about her family.

Just my mask
This is a simple sketch where I try to comunicate that each person has a mask, we are all different and this is mine. My goal was to make this mask look like my inside. I choose to use carboncillos, pencils and colors, I used no eraser beacuse if i was going to draw myself I could never erase a mistake I once did, those are what make me who I am. The purpose of it was to show what I was feeling in that moment and also includes things that are important to me.
I was inspired by myself and by music while I created this drawing. I did it very fast because it was a way to get rid of the feelings I was feeling and it worked, that is why I appreciate this drawing very much. It all started with the eye, later the mask and last the background. The look of the eye represents a feeling, the mask represents my personality, the colors stand for important things in my life and the background represents the times I am sad. But the mask is everything, it causes sensation because it's just me, just the way I am. It's kind of a personal piece of art because after doing it I felt like new.
